TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS SCENERY

Back in the mid-1950's, the original Park Superintendent, Paul Stover, his wife Vera and their family, created a outdoor Chrismtas scenes for a community Christmas Decorating contest, after winning 3 years in a row, they quit entering the contest, however the tradition had begun.

 

The display has grown to completly circle the one-third mile drive that goes around the Foundation Park House, located at 600 North Pleasant Ave. The display begins Thanksgiving Day and continues thru January 1st.

Guests to the Christmas displays have come to look forward to playing Hide and Seek with twin Christmas Elves "Rhonda and Wanda". "Wanda" hides within the scenery, and guests have to find her, she usually moves at least once a week, so come back to play again and again.
